Hello!

Welcome to Monday!

This week we're talking about meditation, and how it can completely change your life.

If you want to improve your physical health, mental health, performance, productivity, and happiness, keep reading.

Importance

As a society, we are so busy, stressed, and unfulfilled. Most people wake up tired and go to sleep unsatisfied with how the day went. They don’t look forward to a new day. They unconsciously move through life, bouncing from pleasure to pleasure while trying to avoid pain, and never enjoying where they are right now.

Does this sound familiar?

Do you feel as though you are simply going through the motions of life, never really finding meaning and joy in your daily tasks? Do you feel like you are constantly reacting rather than responding, putting out fires, and feeling a lack of control over what happens in your life? Do you feel a lack of mental clarity and vitality?

If you can relate to any of this, meditation will help you.

Meditation is a powerful tool that will improve every single aspect of your life.

Implementation

Create a daily meditation practice.

To truly reap the benefits of meditation, you need to meditate consistently.

"A daily habit of meditation no matter how small is better than sporadically." - Takezo

If you're already overwhelmed and busy, you might think you don't have the time or bandwidth to add more to your schedule. But as with the intentional rest we talked about last week, meditating will actually give you more time and space in your life.

1. Decide when you’re going to meditate.

Without implementation intention, following through becomes much more difficult. Most people like to meditate in the morning, as nothing will come up beforehand to draw you away from your practice. However, you can practice at any time. Just find a time that will work with your schedule.

2. Only commit to 1 minute per day.

Anything more is great, but 1 minute will be much more sustainable.

"The most important part of meditation is that you can do it consistently.... You can start small at the beginning and extend little by little. Start with five minutes, then move up to ten minutes, and then make twenty minutes your regular practice." - Takezo

3. Download a meditation app.

There are numerous meditation apps out there. Headspace is probably the most well-known one. There is also Insight Timer, which has enough free content on it that you wouldn’t need to purchase the pro version. Have a look around and try different apps out to see which works best for you. If you’re relatively new to meditation, starting with guided sessions is advisable.

If you want to create a daily meditation practice, check out Modern Meditation by Takezo. This guide will show you how you can master your mind and develop laser-like focus in as little as 10 minutes a day. You’ll get EVERYTHING you need to know to begin mastering your mind with meditation immediately.

I've just gone through Takezo's guide and learned a lot. He explains everything very simply, and gets right to the core of meditation. He also covers some key objections and challenges people face when starting a meditation practice, and explains how to overcome these.
